The Zip crew finally got the chance to visit the Barbican and catch ‘The World of Charles and Ray Eames’ (on until February 14th). It’s such a brilliantly comprehensive exhibition that really captures the breadth of the couple’s work and relationship.
The show reflects how incredibly positive, colourful and creative their work was in a post WW2 era and with developing atomic age as well as the looming Cold War. We particular loved the surviving wooden prototypes and the sweet hand crafted love letters from Ray to Charles.
There’s so much to see in their magical world it’s well worth catching this exhibition while you can, just be careful in the gift shop afterwards…
